Conditions of Sale

This page details the conditions relating to the sale of products by The Eve Coffee Company to you. When you place an order at this website you consent to be bound by the conditions stated here.

Our Contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from The Eve Coffee Company, we will send you an e-mail to confirm our receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product(s) from us which is then accepted by us when we send an e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product(s) to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail do not form part of that contract.

Order Handling

Turnaround times on orders are specified on our Delivery page.

Order Status Meaning

Awaiting Payment Clearance: If you paid by credit card then this usually means that we are waiting for confirmation from our payments provider to approve the transaction. Don't worry it is quite normal for this state to remain for a few hours after an order has been placed. If you paid by cheque then you will see this status from the point you placed your order, through the receipt of the cheque at our end, and right up until we have been notified that the cheque has cleared.

Payment Authorised: Your payment has been approved and your order awaits allocation.

Awaiting Customer Response: This means there is a problem with your order and we have sent you an email querying it. If you have not received an email from us then please contact us.

Order Being Prepared: When your order is in this status it means that the Eve Coffee Team are keenly preparing and packaging your order! Hmmmm... you should almost be able to smell those exotic aromas now.

Order Cancelled: If you did not expect your order to be cancelled then please contact us immediately.

Despatched: Your order has been sent.

Delivery

When an order has been dispatched by Eve, delivery times will depend on the delivery method chosen by you at order time.
  • For UK First Class deliveries please allow up to 5 working days for delivery
Despite our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays in delivery. It may be worthwhile contacting your local postal sorting office as it's possible they've already tried to deliver your package, but were unable to.

Returns

If you have been sent the wrong goods or the goods received are faulty then you should notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods. You should do this by sending an email to returns@evecoffee.com and provide us with your unique order reference as well as explaining what the problem with your order is. You will then receive an e-mail response giving you authorisation and special instructions.

Please note that most of our products (i.e. coffee beans and ground coffee) are not subject to the 7-day cooling-off period of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 due to the nature of the product. If you notice after completing the order process that you have made a mistake, then you should immediately contact us and state the corrections you require. Please note that dependent on how far your order has passed into the production stage will affect our acceptance of your change request. If the order status is showing as Dispatched then it is definitely too late to make any changes.
