We would like to help you select a coffee you will love and have included here some pointers to help you make that choice. We are also selling Sample Selection Packs which consist of three 60g bags of different coffees for you to try. We have included descriptions to try to help you make your choice, but the only way to really know if you like a coffee is to try it! We hope you will enjoy experimenting and welcome your feedback.

Points to Consider

The Country of Origin
The character and flavour of coffee is directly linked to it's country of origin as well as the farming methods used to process the beans. There are distinctive qualities that can be identified from particular origins, although even coffees from the same country will vary in taste and quality dependent upon area and even particular batch from year to year.

The Roast Style
The degree of roast is another factor which will affect the taste of your coffee and by experimenting you will be able to find your personal preference. In general a medium roast will identify the characteristics of the beans most clearly where a darker roast will start to introduce more pronounced roast flavours affecting the overall taste. The roast style you prefer may vary dependent upon the origin of the bean. All our coffee descriptions mention the roast style.

The Grind
Choosing the right grind for your method of preparing coffee is also essential in the end result. We are able to supply coffee in the form of whole beans for you to grind at home (definitely recommended!) or we can pre- grind to your requirements for use with a Cafetiere / French Press, a Drip / Filter machine or Espresso preparation. Just select the correct option when ordering your coffee.

The Brew
Finally your coffee will be influenced by your brewing technique and you are able to adjust the strength of your brew by altering the ratio of coffee to water. Again this may vary for you according to the coffee you choose.
